At MetaDoor (a brand of Window Techs), we take pride in manufacturing high-quality custom doors. This Return & Refund Policy explains our policies regarding returns, refunds, replacements, and cancellations.

2. Nature of Our Products
2.1 Custom-Made Products
Important: All doors configured through our online configurator are CUSTOM-MADE TO ORDER.
- Each door is manufactured specifically to your specifications
- Dimensions, materials, finishes, and hardware are customized per your selection
- Production begins immediately upon order confirmation
- Doors are not mass-produced or held in inventory
- Once manufactured, doors cannot be resold to other customers
2.2 Non-Returnable by Nature
Due to the custom nature of our products:
- Returns are NOT accepted for change of mind, incorrect ordering, or preference changes
- Custom-manufactured goods are exempt from general return rights under Indian consumer protection laws
3. No Returns Policy
MetaDoor does NOT accept returns on custom-configured doors.
You CANNOT return a door simply because:
- You changed your mind
- You selected wrong specifications
- You don't like the color/finish after seeing it
- You ordered wrong dimensions
- Your project plans changed
- You found a cheaper alternative
Exceptions: Returns/replacements provided ONLY for:
- Manufacturing defects (verified by our technical team)
- Damage during transit (reported within 24-48 hours with evidence)
- Wrong item shipped
- Defective hardware (covered under warranty)
4. No Refunds Policy
MetaDoor does NOT provide refunds on custom-made doors.
For valid claims (manufacturing defects, shipping damage), we provide REPLACEMENT only — no cash refunds. A new door is manufactured and shipped at no additional cost.
Refunds in Exceptional Cases:
- We cancel your order (inability to fulfill, material unavailability)
- Order not yet in production and we approve cancellation
- Payment made but order not confirmed by us
Refund Processing: 7-10 business days, refunded to original payment method.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Online Orders (Paid via Razorpay)
NO CANCELLATIONS once payment is confirmed. Orders enter production queue immediately.
5.2 Contact Sales Orders
Cancellation possible only before production starts. Email immediately with order number: info@windowtechs.in (subject: "CANCELLATION REQUEST"). Cancellation approval is NOT guaranteed.
6. Manufacturing Defects
6.1 What Qualifies
- Structural defects (warping, cracking, delamination)
- Incorrect dimensions (beyond ±2mm tolerance)
- Finish defects (peeling, bubbling, uneven coating)
- Wrong materials used
- Missing or incorrect hardware
- Non-functional hardware
- Fire rating not as specified
- Acoustic performance significantly below specified rating
6.2 What is NOT a Defect
- Minor cosmetic variations (slight color variations within tolerance)
- Dimensions within ±2mm tolerance
- Natural wood grain variations
- Issues from improper installation or extreme conditions
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by customer or installer
6.3 Reporting Manufacturing Defects
Timeline: Within 7 DAYS of delivery
- Inspect thoroughly upon delivery (do not install if major defects noticed)
- Document: clear photos (close-up and wide-angle), video for functional defects
- Email to info@windowtechs.in — Subject: "DEFECT CLAIM - [Order Number]"
- Our technical team reviews within 2-3 business days
- Decision made within 5-7 business days
If Approved: Replacement door at no cost. Timeline: 60 days for manufacturing + shipping.
7. Damage During Transit
Timeline: Within 24-48 HOURS of delivery
At Time of Delivery:
- Inspect packaging in presence of delivery person
- If major damage visible: REFUSE delivery and note "Damaged - Rejected" on receipt
- If no visible damage but suspect internal damage: Note "Accepted subject to internal inspection"
Within 24-48 Hours:
- Unpack carefully (save all packaging materials)
- Document damage: photos of packaging, damaged product, delivery receipt
- Email immediately: info@windowtechs.in — Subject: "SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIM - [Order Number]"
- Do NOT discard packaging until claim resolved
Late Reporting (after 48 hours): Claim may NOT be entertained. Considered customer-caused damage.
8. Wrong Item Shipped
Report immediately: Email info@windowtechs.in with "WRONG ITEM - [Order Number]". Provide photos showing product received vs. order confirmation. DO NOT install the wrong item. We arrange return pickup and ship correct item via priority production at no cost.
9. Customer Responsibility
9.1 Accurate Measurements
You are responsible for providing accurate dimensions. We do NOT provide on-site measurement services. We recommend hiring professional measurers. We are NOT liable for doors that don't fit due to incorrect measurements.
9.2 Specification Verification
Review your order carefully before confirming payment. Once confirmed, specifications are final.
9.3 Installation
Installation is NOT included unless specifically purchased. Hire qualified installer. Improper installation voids warranty.
10. Dispute Resolution
If dissatisfied with our resolution:
- Email detailed grievance to info@windowtechs.in
- Request escalation to senior management
- We review and respond within 7 business days
- Consumer forums: District Consumer Forum (up to ₹1 crore), State Commission, National Commission
